8th Graders Doing High School Football

8th+Graders+Doing+High+School+Football

A lot of people played in the Junior Football League (JFL) this year, and almost the entire starting varsity team was made up of 8th graders. On March 13th, there was a meeting about playing in high school. Many people showed up to the meeting. They discussed who would be playing football in high school, the positions they hoped to play, and what they were looking forward to the most.

OFFENSE

Wide Receivers:

  • Colt Leman: A new coach
  • Liam Wyse-Fisher: More passing plays
  • Conner Knapp: The environment
  • Levi Gerber: Being with friends
  • Dax Wiegand: The coaches and improving
  • Drew VanWaters: The first game
  • Hank Wettstein: Getting my weight down for Wrestling
  • Bryce Bailey: Playing again

Running Backs:

  • Finn Hoffman: Being able to play with upperclassmen
  • Kadarius Toney (Landon Lopez): Being part of the team

Quarterbacks:

  • Corbin Short: Different plays and better equipment
  • Jaxon Klaus: Playing for Coach Bachman

DEFENSE

Offensive Line/Defensive Line:

  • Austin Fuller: More defensive play variety
  • Cieryn McGinnis: Getting more playing time
  • Peyton Henderson: The challenge
  • Tyler Billings: Being in one big family
  • Ryan Follmer: That there is no limit for defense
  • Michael Schrementi: Getting better
  • Levi Farney: Winning and working out
  • Ashton Helberg: Hit sticking people

Linebacker:

  • Miles Stoller: Games
  • Landon Still: Having new coaches
  • Felipe Francisco: Just playing the game

Defensive Back:

  • Cayden Fogo: Getting stronger
  • Brennan McAllister: Hitting people
  • Noah Purfield: The brotherhood
