Today I’m interviewing Mrs. Haggerty, who is an 8th grade English/Literature teacher.
1. What is your favorite book and why?
My favorite book is Tuesdays with Morrie. It really helps you put life into perspective and teaches you to be thankful for the time you have.
2. What is your favorite movie and why?
My favorite movie is Footloose (the newer version). I love it because it has good music, dancing, and small-town vibes.
3. What is your favorite food and why?
My favorite food is a turkey sandwich. You always know what you’re going to get!
4. What is your favorite thing to do after school and why?
I love hanging out with my fiancé and dog, Louie. We enjoy going on family walks around the neighborhood and at Eureka Lake. I also coach track and cheer at EMS. Next year, I will also coach cheer at the high school.
5. What is your favorite animal and why?
My favorite animal is a giraffe. I love how unique they are compared to every other animal.
6. What is your favorite drink and why?
My favorite drink goes back and forth between coffee and Alani Nu. My favorite Alani Nu flavor is Pink Slush. For coffee, I can drink any kind. I love a good black coffee in the morning and a fun latte in the afternoon.
7. Winter or summer and why?
Winter. Christmas is my favorite day of the year. Plus, it’s the middle of the school year, and I get to see and teach all of my students.
8. What is your dream vacation and why?
My dream vacation would include the beach, unlimited food and drinks, sunshine, and good vibes.
9. If you could teach another subject other than literature, what would it be?
I would love to be a P.E. teacher. I think it is important to be active throughout the day, and that would allow me to encourage students to stay active.
