Today, I asked one of the 8th-grade track teachers and some students about how the season is going.
Mr. B says they are working to get the team in shape and to learn all the field events. He thinks the team is doing very well and has gotten off to a great start. He is hoping to defend the state championship.
Noah is participating in shot put and discus. So far, they have been having practices and went to the high school today. Their first meet is on April 11th. His goal is to throw well and to place in the top five in 8th grade.
Hillel Mooney is also doing shot put and discus. He wants to make it to state. He does not plan to do track in high school, but he does intend to improve his skills this season.
