According to Study.com, “The Illinois Common Core covers English Language Arts for grades K-12, and Mathematics for grades K-8. These standards provide a framework of different skills and knowledge students should attain at each grade level.”
Do you have a favorite core class? Mine is social studies. I asked some students what their favorite core class was. These were their answers:
Annabelle King. “ELA, because its the easiest.”
Finn Gerst. “Math because Everett is in it.”
Bentley Brace. “Social Studies. It’s the least boring.”
Oliver Wise-Fisher. “Social Studies because Mrs. Rocke is my favorite teacher and I like learning about the states.”
