SIXTH GRADE HORNET SPOTLIGHT

We interviewed Eli Sliger for Hornet Spotlight, and asked him some questions about different things he enjoys. He really enjoys basketball, so we also asked him some questions about that.

Q: What do you want to accomplish next basketball season?

After a while, he answered, “Winning state because it would be a good accomplishment, and it would make our team better.”

Q: What is your go-to basketball move?

Quickly, he said, “Turn around fadeaway jump shot.”

Q: What is your dream job, and why?

He did not take much time to answer this one either, saying, “NBA player because it pays really well, and I get to play my favorite sport all the time.”

Q: What is your favorite food, and why?

This one took more time – Eli likes a lot of food – but after thinking about it, he said, “Cheeseburger because it’s good.”

Q: Who do you think is the best player of all time in the NBA, and why?

Without hesitation, he answered, “Michael Jordan because he is just better than everyone else in the NBA.”

Q: Who do you think is the best player currently in the NBA?

After naming a few players, he finally landed on, “Nikola Jokic because the stats don’t lie.”

Q: What is your least favorite sport?

Not taking much time to answer, he said, “Hockey to play and to watch.”
