EMS’s Greatest Fears

EMSs+Greatest+Fears

The more we discover on Earth, the more we find things to be scared of. The most common fears are Acrophobia, which is the fear of heights, Arachnophobia, the fear of spiders, Claustrophobia, the fear of small spaces, and many more. Social anxieties and overall anxiety are also prevalent, especially now. So, we’re wondering what the students here at EMS’ greatest fear is. We interviewed 5 students from each grade, including 5 staff, to find our answer.

What is your greatest fear?

5th Grade:

  • Eleanor Kemp – Spiders
  • Alyssa (LuLu) Lehman – Clowns
  • Jason Vanmeter – Dogs getting kidnapped
  • Jonah Addo Evans – My mom’s slipper
  • Clay Parsons – Going to the maze in “Maze Runner”

6th Grade:

  • Bentley Brace – Murderers
  • Dierks Dingledine – Clowns
  • Analeigh Perera – Hyde from Wednesday
  • Ayla Payne – Ladybugs
  • Sage Edwards – Serial Killers

7th Grade:

  • Cooper Gerdes – Leeches
  • Jordan Schulz – My brother murdering me
  • Kyleigh Nasti – Spiders
  • Kenzie Gerdes – Quicksand
  • Emma Sweeney – Kidnappers

8th Grade:

  • Corbin Short – Heights

Staff:

  • Mrs. Worner – Losing my kids
  • Mrs. Rocke – “I try not to fear”
  • Mr. T Swizzle – Dying alone
  • Mr. Heider – Heights

Wow! There are so many fears that you would never think of. The most common were spiders and heights. Remember, “Being brave isn’t the absence of fear. Being brave is having fear, but finding a way through it.”
