I interviewed Mrs. Meiss about her two favorite books. She said Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix and The Book Thief. I asked her questions about the books.
For Harry Potter these were the answers.
Q. What is your favorite part of Harry Potter?
A. When Doloris Umbridge takes over the school and makes the school turn into a detention place.
Q. Why do you like Harry Potter and the Orders of the Phoenix?
A. The way they all work together and have their own special qualities.
Q. What can you relate to in these books?
A. Both books people are fearful and overcome their fear.
Now I am going to tell you the questions and answers for The Book Thief.
Q. What is your favorite part of The Book Thief?
A. The main character’s best friend is obsessed with Jesse Owens (who was an old olympic track and field competitor).
Q. Why do you like the Book Thief?
A.Because it’s set during World War Two and I like that time period.
Q.What can you relate to in these books?
A. Both books people are fearful and overcome their fear.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix summary: Now in his fifth year at Hogwarts, Harry learns that many in the wizarding community do not know the truth of his encounter with Lord Voldemort. Cornelius Fudge, minister of Magic, appoints his toady, Dolores Umbridge, as Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, for he fears that professor Dumbledore will take his job. But her teaching is deficient and her methods cruel, so Harry prepares a group of students to defend the school against a rising tide of evil.
Now here is the Book Thief summary: The Book Thief is a story narrated by a compassionate Death who tells us about Liesel, a girl growing up in Germany during World War II. She steals books, learns to read, and finds comfort in words. She and Max, the Jew her family protects, are the only main characters that survive the war.
