The Cubs and Cardinals are one of the biggest rivalries in sports, and there’s a lot of debate about it—I wanted to talk about it. They both have different team colors: the Cardinals use red, white, navy blue, and yellow, while the Cubs use blue, red, and white. Their colors are somewhat similar, but the reason people are so invested in this rivalry is that the teams are located near each other.
The Cardinals play at Busch Stadium, and the Cubs play at Wrigley Field. Cubs are from Chicago, Illinois, and Cardinals are from St. Louis, Missouri. The Cardinals were established in 1882, and the Cubs in 1903, so Cardinal fans often say they were around first as a reason they’re better.
Now I’m going to ask some students and teachers which team they think is better:
-
Grace Waters – Cubs
-
Jonah Addo – Cardinals
-
Journey Garcia – Cubs
-
Jack Stokewski – Cardinals
-
Finnely Slane – Cubs
-
William Sauder – Cardinals
-
Jackson – Cubs
-
Mrs. Rocke – Cardinals
-
Mrs. Lucas – Cubs
-
Saria Beer – Cardinals
-
Mrs. Wherley – Cubs
