Sometimes, people decide to be monsters by wearing Crocs without socks. Others say it’s normal, but I disagree. Crocs were founded in 2002 by Scott Seamans, Lyndon Hanson, and George Boedecker Jr., and they were originally designed to be a functional shoe. They are slip-resistant foam boating shoes. Interestingly, the name “Crocs” wasn’t their first name—they were originally called “The Beach.” I have no idea why they were called that—maybe because they were more useful at the beach?
Over the past decade, people around the world have debated whether Crocs are a useful shoe or just an ugly waste of material. During these massive debates, sales initially slowed. Crocs tried introducing new types of shoes, but buyers didn’t like them. It got to the point where the company almost couldn’t buy the materials needed for production, and they nearly went bankrupt. Thankfully, Crocs made the best decision they could: they went back to the original “Croc” design. That’s when buyers returned to purchasing the Crocs they love.
Now, the biggest question of them all: SHOULD YOU WEAR SOCKS WITH CROCS?
This has been the hottest debate ever since Crocs became popular. People always argue about whether you should wear socks with Crocs—or go sockless. We ask you to cast your vote in the poll to finally settle which way is the “right” way!
