Valentine’s Day is celebrated on February 14 every year. It is a day for people to show their love and appreciation for one another. It is widely celebrated in countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Mexico, and South Korea.
There are many types of candy associated with Valentine’s Day. Some examples include Fun Dip, Sour Patch Hearts, heart-shaped Froot Loops, and candy hearts with special messages on them such as “XOXO,” “Love You,” “Kiss Me,” “Hug Me,” and “I Am Yours.”
Many people celebrate this holiday by sending cards, and younger students often give candy to their classmates. In elementary school, students usually give candy or valentines to everyone in the class to make sure no one feels left out. Pink, red, and purple are the colors most commonly associated with Valentine’s Day, and hearts are the main symbol.
In 496 A.D., Saint Valentine was honored on February 14, which later became known as Valentine’s Day. Even though school is still in session on this holiday, younger grades often have classroom parties, while older students may have lighter schoolwork for the day.
