Lately, there has been a meme and slang term involving “6’7.” Does 6’7 actually have a meaning? Technically, there isn’t one real definition, but many people have their own interpretations. Some say it comes from a song, LaMelo Ball, Maverick Travillian, and more.
Maverick Travillian – A young kid named Maverick, also known as the “6’7 Kid,” went viral for screaming the slang “6’7” at a basketball game while moving his hands up and down.
Song – A song released near the start of 2025 called Doot Doot by a rapper named Skrilla helped increase the popularity of the term.
Basketball – The trend also grew from edits of the popular basketball player LaMelo Ball, who is exactly 6’7” tall.
Usage – Kids commonly scream it in the middle of class or in public for no actual reason, or whenever they see the two numbers next to each other.
Fun Fact – Dictionary.com named “6’7” their Word of the Year in 2025 because of its popularity.
