We asked Mrs. Rocke a few questions for Hornet Spotlight. She is a 5th-grade SS teacher at Eureka Middle School. Here are her answers.
What is your favorite subject and why?
Social Studies… of course 🙂
What is your favorite color?
All the colors in the rainbow, because God created all of the beautiful colors.
What is your favorite sport and why?
To watch or play? I love to watch football. I love to play golf. I’m going pro, you know 🙂
What is your dream vacation and why?
The Fiji Islands… I hear they are breathtaking.
Who is your favorite celebrity?
The Lord Jesus Christ!
How would your friends describe you in three words?
Crazy, crazy, crazy… in a good way!
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
I think I will stick with how the good Lord made me. He made me how He wanted me to be.
What are you most proud of?
Pride… we shouldn’t be proud, but humble ourselves.
What is one thing people don’t know about you in school?
“I’ve scooped a lot of pig poop in my life 🙂 Hard work is rewarding 🙂 On the serious side, my dad passed away when I was 29 years old. This was one of the hardest times in my life, but losing someone is something we will most likely all experience during our lifetime. This experience has made me better, not bitter. How we respond to certain situations in life is what shapes us. Choose the better, not the bitter.”
