The 8th grade girls are currently three-fourths of the way through their basketball season! We interviewed some girls on the 8th grade basketball team to ask them some questions about their season so far. They currently have a winning record and have only lost a few games. We talked to Bryleigh Brace, Payton Flanary, and Brooklyn Sauder about their team, and about basketball in general.
Bryleigh Brace:
Q1: How do you think the team is doing so far this year?
A: Much better than last year’s season.
Q2: What is your favorite thing about this season so far?
A: Definitely beating Metamora.
Q3: How would your coaches and teammates describe you as a player?
A: Probably loud and aggressive.
Payton Flanary:
Q1: What position do you play in basketball?
A: Point guard and shooting guard.
Q2: What is your favorite thing about playing basketball?
A: Being with the team and working together.
Q3: Who is your favorite professional basketball player?
A: Steph Curry. He is a good three-point shooter and fun to watch.
Brooklyn Sauder:
Q1: What is your team’s current record?
A: 12-5.
Q2: What is your team’s biggest strength and weakness?
A: Our biggest strength is defense, and our biggest weakness is turning the ball over.
Q3: Why do you like playing basketball?
A: I like being with the team and playing together.
