Would you like to know about the new fifth graders getting to know someone new? Maybe find a friend. Well this week on Hornet Spotlight you will get to know Norah Martin from 5th grade. So if you want to learn about her you will like this article.
When we started talking to her we brought up middle school and she went to Congerville elementary so we decided to ask what it was like going from elementary school to middle school for her. She responded saying “Pretty good,I’d say it’s a bit harder because from where my school was we didn’t have to switch classes and didn’t have a certain amount of time to do our assignments.”
As we kept talking to her we asked a few more questions like “Norah what is your dream job and what inspired you to do it”. After a moment she said “Being a teacher because it seems like a fun job. And I like kids.”
We continued with the question by asking if she could have any three wishes, what would they be? After some hesitation of not knowing what to say she said “To have food for everyone in the world, world peace, another dog.”
Next, we asked her about What exotic animal would you have as a pet and why? She answered fairly quickly with “A bear because they just seem fun.”
Some of the last questions we asked were do you have any ideas for what the middle school to change to make it more enjoyable? “Maybe have a longer break between classes” she responded in a soft tone.
Next we asked what her very earliest memory was? She answered enthusiastically by saying “On my 4th birthday when I woke up”.
Another question we asked her was what is one trending thing that you don’t like. She said “Probably some types of shoes, like bulky, bigger shoes.”
The last question we asked Norah was what she thinks about 5th and 6th not being able to do sports. She said “I think there should be more school sports because it would get people outside and more active.”
That concludes our article about Norah Martin so if you would like to get to know her better say hi in the hall.
