Scholastic Bowl has begun here.

I interviewed a 7th and 8th grader who is on the team and I asked them a few questions

First, for a 7th grader, I interviewed Simon Lynch

First I asked him what his favorite part of scholastic bowl is. He said his favorite part is the questions. Next, I asked him what his thoughts are on Mr. Trout. “He’s amazing” according to Simon. Lastly, I asked Simon if he thinks they could win state. He replied with yes because most people on the team are smart.

For an 8th grader, I interviewed Ava Otto and I asked her the same questions

Ava said her favorite part of scholastic bowl is getting to know new people. I then asked her what her thoughts on Mr. Trout were and she said he’s very chill and encouraging. I asked her if she thinks they could win state and she replied “maybe, because you never know what the outcome of the future will be.”

I also interviewed coach Mr. Trout

First, I asked him what his favorite part of scholastic bowl he replied with seeing kids realize that the knowledge they didn’t think was important is because now they know the answers to the questions they are answering. Next I asked him how many years he has been coaching scholastic bowl here. He said he has been coaching scholastic bowl at EMS for 5 years. Lastly I asked Mr. Trout if he thinks they could win state. Mr. Trout thinks ‘it would be a tough hill to climb”
