For a long time, the world has had one question: Is it a duck or a rabbit? This age-old optical illusion has been around since 1899, and it was first presented by a psychologist named Joseph Jastrow. Some people see a duck, and some people see a rabbit. The illusion demonstrates that people have different perspectives and that everyone sees the world differently. Most people can see both, but the question is: Which one did you see first?
We asked some students at EMS which one they saw first, and here’s what they said:
- Isaiah Vogel said, “rabbit.”
- Michael Bunting said, “duck.”
- Max Beard said, “duck.”
- Mr. Bayer said, “duck.”
- Alex Schrock said, “duck.”
- Tucker Knecht said, “rabbit.”
- Bristol Hirstien said, “I don’t know, maybe a duck.”
- Bronwyn Mayo said, “duck.”
- Finn Gerst said, “duck.”
- Blake Littlejohn said, “rabbit.”
- Colin Risk said, “duck.”
