There are a multitude of winter sports, but I decided to focus on only a few of them, which include basketball, wrestling, swimming, hockey, skiing, ping pong, and snowboarding.
Basketball is a team-based game with the primary objective of shooting a ball through the defender’s hoop while preventing the opposing team from scoring on your hoop.
Wrestling is a martial art and combat sport that involves grappling with the opponent and striving to obtain a position of advantage through different throws or techniques. The main goal is to roll your opponent flat on their back for three seconds.
Swimming is an individual or team racing sport that requires the use of one’s entire body to move through water. The sport takes place in pools or open water (TwinkleUSA.com).
Hockey is a fast-paced contact sport played on an ice rink between two teams of six skaters, who attempt to drive a small rubber disk (the puck) into the opposing goal with hooked or angled sticks (Dictionary.com).
Skiing is the use of skis to glide on snow for basic transport, as a recreational activity, or as a competitive winter sport (Wikipedia).
Ping pong is a table tennis racket sport derived from tennis, but it is distinguished by its playing surface being atop a stationary table rather than the court on which players stand (Wikipedia).
Snowboarding is a recreational and competitive activity that involves descending a snow-covered surface while standing on a snowboard that is almost always attached to the rider’s feet.
Next, I will interview a few people.
JJ Elven: “Basketball is honestly a lot more entertaining, and I like the sport. It’s kind of hard not to like it when your dad’s stuck in the 90s Bulls era.”
Chuck Dunbar: “Basketball because it’s fun.”
Micah Stapel: “Swimming because I like to swim.”
Blake Littlejohn: “I would have to say Basketball because it’s one of the sports (I’m kinda good at) but I also like to destroy Drake Arnold in it.”
