This week for Hornet Spotlight, I interviewed Rachel Roberts, a 6th grader.
The first thing I asked her was, “Who is your favorite teacher so far and why?” She said, “Mrs. Selvey, she is just very nice.”
Next, I asked if she went anywhere for vacation this summer. Rachel replied, “I didn’t go anywhere this summer.”
Then I asked, “What is your favorite song and why?” She answered, “Any Zach Bryan song, like Pink Skies.”
Next, I asked, “What is your favorite season and why?” She told me, “Fall, because that is football season and I love going to the games.”
Then I asked, “If you could move anywhere you wanted, where would you move and why?” Rachel replied, “Hawaii, because when I went there it was so nice and peaceful, and also because it is warm.”
I asked Rachel what her favorite subject was. She said, “Social Studies, because I love history.”
After that, I asked, “What is your favorite snack?” Rachel told me, “Fries dipped in ice cream. It is so good.”
Next, I asked, “What are you most excited about this school year?” Rachel said, “Bottle rockets, because it sounds super fun and my brothers said it was too.”
I also asked, “Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?” She answered, “Interior designer, because I love to design and my parents used to flip houses and redo them.”
Finally, I asked, “What is your favorite thing about EMS?” Rachel said, “The people, because most people are super nice and want to help others.”
