Hello EMS!
For this Hornet Spotlight, we picked Anna Stapel! Anna is a 7th grader here at EMS and is also a member of the cheer team. We asked her a few random questions, and here are her responses:
1. What is your favorite color?
A: “Light sage green and ice blue.”
2. If you had to spend a year in a haunted house, what would you bring with you and why?
A: “I would bring a flashlight and lots of food and water to a haunted house (and probably drag my siblings along too!).”
3. If you could adopt a mythical animal, what would it be and why?
A: “I would adopt an imp from the Keeper of the Lost Cities universe.”
4. What is your favorite book or book series?
A: Keeper of the Lost Cities
5. If you could make one fictional character real, who would it be?
A: “I would want Keefe Sencen to be real (from Keeper of the Lost Cities).”
6. If you could scream a song at the Grand Canyon, what would it be?
A: “Right now, I’m minorly obsessed with the song I’ll Fly Away by Josiah Queen.”
7. Who would you bring to the Grand Canyon?
A: “I would bring my whole family.”
8. What is your favorite phrase or quote?
A: “My favorite quote is probably the Bible verse Joshua 1:9 and ‘Flexibility isn’t showing off how far your leg can stretch, it’s showing how far your perseverance can stretch.’”
9. Favorite ice cream flavor?
A: “I love Oreo ice cream.”
10. Biggest fear or adrenaline rush?
A: “My worst fear is probably my siblings falling from a height too high. My brother Asher was holding my brother Elijah on the couch, who can’t quite sit up yet, and got up without warning. The baby would have face-planted if Asher hadn’t grabbed his feet, or if my grandpa didn’t dive to catch him.”
