K-pop superstars Rumi, Mira, and Zoey aren’t selling out stadiums or topping the Billboard charts—they’re moonlighting as demon hunters to protect their fans from ever-present supernatural danger.
I asked a few people what they thought of the movie, and here’s what they said:
We first talked to Kinleigh Clements, a 7th grader, who said:
“I have never watched it. It seems so weird. I WILL NEVER WATCH ITTTT!”
Well, after that response we were a little nervous to hear what others might say.
Next, we asked Rome Leman, another 7th grader, and she said:
“I watched it with my cousin and I started bawling my eyes out, but the songs are really good!!!”
Wow—she must have liked it a lot, at least enough to cry at the end.
Then we interviewed Deklyn McCarrey, also in 7th grade, and he said:
“I HATE K-Pop Demon Hunters. It hurts my forehead, and I like my forehead. SO I don’t like it.”
That’s definitely a bold statement, Deklyn.
We also asked Brady Leman, who said:
“Never seen it—only seen random edits of it on YouTube.”
Next up was Brynley Schieler, a 7th grader, who said:
“Hmmmmmmm… I’ve never watched that movie, but the songs are good. The movie itself looks kinda bad personally.”
After that, we interviewed Luke Casey from 7th grade, who said:
“I hate it, I hate it, I hate it, I hate it, I hate it.”
Well Luke, that’s definitely a strong opinion.
Then we spoke to Nella Stoller, who said:
“It has really good songs and it’s just a good movie.”
After Nella, we interviewed Austin Logan, who said:
“I don’t like it, because the songs just get in your head too much.”
Finally, we talked to Elsie Cearlock, who sounds like a true fan. She said:
“Yeah honestly it’s really not that bad. Love the songs! I liked it just because of the songs and Jinu.”
