Football is a very popular sport in the United States, dating back to November 6, 1869. Over the years, the sport has improved with better protection and equipment. Football has evolved from a round, egg-shaped ball to the modern version we know today. Back then, there were no shoulder pads, very little protection, and extremely tight helmets.
Currently, football’s regular season is underway, with the JFL set to play EPG this Saturday. They are 2-0 (wins-losses) and looking strong, so I asked some of the players a few questions about football.
What is your favorite thing about football and why?

Deklyn McCarrey: My favorite thing about football is getting to hang out with my friends after school and enjoying playing the game.

Carter Farney: My favorite thing about football is that you get to hit kids with full force and not get in trouble.
