Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams, each with nine players. It developed over time, evolving from games like cricket and rounders in the early 18th century. To some people, baseball may seem boring, but to others it’s exciting. Let us tell you how it’s played and explain the rules.
The objective of the game is to score more runs than the opposing team by hitting a ball thrown by the pitcher and advancing around the bases. Teams alternate between batting (offense) and fielding (defense), with the game divided into nine innings.
We asked some baseball players a few questions about the sport.
