This week for Hornet Spotlight, I interviewed Mara Colby, a very kind sixth-grader.
The first thing I asked her was, “Who is your favorite teacher so far, and why?” She said, “Mrs. Fitzgerald, because she is very nice and I love to read.”
Next, I asked her if she went anywhere for vacation this summer. Mara replied, “I went to Texas this summer.”
Then I asked, “What is your favorite song and why?” She answered, “Praise, because I sing it at my church.”
Next, I asked, “What is your favorite season and why?” She told me, “Fall is my favorite season because I like the leaves.”
Then I asked, “If you could move anywhere you wanted, where would you move and why?” Mara replied, “I would move to California because my uncle lives there.”
I asked Mara what her favorite subject was. She said, “My favorite subject is reading because I like to read.”
After that, I asked, “What is your favorite snack?” Mara told me, “Any fruit. I just really like fruit.”
Next, I asked, “What are you most excited about this school year?” Mara said, “I’m excited to be in Student Council.”
I also asked, “Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?” She answered, “I want to be a hairdresser because I love doing my hair.”
Finally, I asked, “What is your favorite thing about EMS?” Mara said, “My friends.”
