This week for Hornet Spotlight, I interviewed Jarek Klaus, an 8th grader at Eureka Middle School. I asked him, “Who is your favorite music artist and why?” He said, “Morgan Wallen, because he produces very good songs.”
The next question I asked was, “What is your favorite food and why?” He said, “Pizza, because it’s good.”
Then I asked, “What is your favorite sport and why?” He said, “Football, because I like to hit kids.”
I asked him how 8th grade compares to 7th grade, and which is better, and why. He said, “I would say they are equal because they are both fun.”
Next, I asked, “Do you play any sports, and why do you play them?” He replied, “I play football because it’s fun and I like hitting kids.”
I asked, “Who is your favorite NFL player and why?” He said, “Tom Brady, because he is a GOAT.”
I continued with, “What are some hobbies you enjoy, and why do you like them?” He said, “Golf, football, basketball.”
I asked, “Who is your idol, or who do you look up to?” He said, “My dad.”
Then we asked him about his final meal request. He responded, “Steak and mashed potatoes.”
We also asked, “What is your favorite subject and why?” He said, “Science, because it’s fun.”
The last question was, “What do you plan on doing after high school?” He said, “To be a plumber.”
