At the time of writing this article, summer break is very close. The last week of school and the month of May, in general, go by very quickly, but as we’ve been told, you can’t slow down and you’d better finish strong. The last week of school isn’t even that much work; it’s mostly fun activities, like 8th-grade graduation or field day. Overall, everybody is excited because summer means 3 months of freedom and fun. Whether it’s outdoor activities, traveling, or whatever else, there’s never a dull moment.
We thought it would be interesting to share people’s favorite things to do in the summer, as well as places to go. One person loves spending time with their cousins, fishing, gardening, and swimming. They said they’ll be traveling out west to Colorado and Wyoming, but also plan to go up north to Canada. Another person said they are going to Tennessee, and their favorite thing to do is shoot airsoft guns – honestly, pretty relatable. Another person is going to California and loves outdoor activities and hanging out with cousins.
So, some of us are leaving the state, while others are leaving the country (or possibly even the continent!), but one thing is clear: everyone loves being outside. So, who’s pumped for summer?!
