Hornet Spotlight: June Bally
As we head into a new week, new journalism stories arise—and this week, we’re featuring four students in our Hornet Spotlight. One of them is June Bally, a 7th grader who enjoys reading and spending time outdoors. We asked her a few fun questions, and here’s what she had to say:

What is your biggest fear?
“Needles. Just needles.” -
What’s a weird food you eat that others typically don’t?
“Miah Miah,” she said, which is a type of fish. -
What was your first word?
She doesn’t remember exactly, but thinks it was probably something like “dinner.” -
Favorite color?
Her favorite color is blue. -
A place you want to visit?
June really wants to go to Guatemala. -
Dream job?
She hopes to become a Special Ed Teacher one day. -
Favorite book?
Wild Bird by Wendelin Van Draanen. -
Favorite book genre?
June said her favorite genre is Historical Fiction. -
Favorite subject in school?
She prefers Social Studies. -
How would you spend a day off school?
June said she would just “do random stuff, that’s all.”
