Hornet Spotlight: Violet Bender
We’re continuing Hornet Spotlight this week, and our pick is Violet Bender! Violet is in 5th grade, and one of her favorite hobbies is reading. We asked her some fun questions, and here’s what she had to say:
1. What is your biggest fear?
Her biggest fear is being alone in a pitch-black room.
2. What’s a weird food you eat that others typically don’t?
Violet said she likes to dip her quesadillas in applesauce. (I’ve tried this—it’s actually really good!)
3. What was your first word?
She said she doesn’t know what her first word was.
4. Favorite color?
Violet’s favorite color is violet. (That’s awesome!)
5. A place you want to visit?
She really wants to visit Florida.
6. Dream job?
Her dream job is running a high-class animal shelter.
7. Favorite book?
Violet’s favorite book series is Warriors by Erin Hunter, especially Firestar’s Quest.
8. Favorite genre of books?
She said her favorite genre is Fantasy.
9. Favorite subject in school?
She prefers Reading as her favorite subject.
10. How would you spend a day off of school?
Violet said she would spend a day off reading and hanging out with friends.
