7 people made it to sectionals this year but 3 people made it to state. These people are Hudson Leman, Brayden Lehman, and Max Beard. These people will wrestle in state on friday and saturday. Eureka Middle School has only had 1 state champion for wrestling and that was a long time ago.
How do you feel that you’ll be wrestling in state?
Hudson: I am super pumped to be wrestling in state, I went to XC state and now I will be in wrestling state, then hopefully I’ll make it in track.
Brayden: It feels good considering that I have a good chance to place in it.
Max: Good
Hudson: I hope I get first, but I’ll take 3rd.
Brayden: I hope I’ll win it
Hudson: I believe that I can place, it wont be easy, but I think I can make 3rd happen
Brayden: I think I’m getting 5th
Max: Hopefully better than 4th
Hudson: I don’t really care how my bracket looks, you never know how you or your opponent will wrestle. My goal is just to go out and dominate.
Brayden: I am very happy with my bracket though, and it has the best chance of me placing.
Max: Yeah
