Today, we interviewed the seventh-grade boys’ basketball team about their thoughts on going to state. The players are Eli Sliger, Ethan Otto, Kyle Cochran, Ezra Dohner, Colin Risk, Crey Leman, Drew Sauder, Kal Brown, Tucker Knecht, Brodie Wettstein, Clay McClure, Max Brown, Eli Zehr, and Luke Spangler. Here are some of their thoughts on state.
Eli Sliger is glad that they are going to state because it is the first time in a while that the team has made it. Ethan Otto is glad because the school hasn’t been to state for a long time. Kyle Cochran’s thoughts are simply focused on winning state. Ezra Dohner is excited about going to state. Crey Leman is really excited because our school hasn’t been to state in seven years. Colin Risk thinks it will be fun because boys’ basketball has never been undefeated in Eureka’s history. Brodie Wettstein is not surprised that we are going to state. Clay McClure is excited because the boys have not been to state in a long time. Max Brown is excited and nervous at the same time. Kal Brown thinks it is cool that we are going to state, and Tucker Knecht is very excited.
This is a great achievement for Eureka basketball. If the boys win, it will be the first time since 1986! So, root for the seventh-grade boys’ basketball team to win state!
