Thanksgiving is a holiday where you celebrate the things you’re thankful for. It was started in 1621 by the Wampanoag and the Pilgrims. Christmas, which is celebrated on December 25, commemorates the birth of Jesus. Thanksgiving and Christmas are the two most popular holidays in the U.S.A. We asked some people at our school which holiday they prefer and why.

- Carter Martin: “Christmas, because I get presents.”
- Declan Fisher: “Christmas, because I get presents and money.”
- Joe Royer: “Christmas, because I get presents.”
- Parker Bishop: “Christmas, because it’s the longer season with more to do than Thanksgiving.”
- Mrs. Rocke: “Christmas, because I am thankful for Jesus and the reasons for the season.”
