We went around Eureka Middle School and asked students and some teachers which schools in our conference had the best athletes. The schools in our conference include Tremont, Washington Middle, Washington Central, Dee-Mack, District 50, Germantown Hills, and Metamora. Usually, Washington Central and Washington Middle have strong sports programs. Also, Metamora just won state for basketball two years in a row, so they are known for having spectacular athletes. So, what do you think?
Mr. Bayer – “Washington Middle, and they have the best coaches.”
Jordan Schultz – “Not Eureka. Germantown Hills, because they are good.”
Luke Spangler – “Us, ’cause we are gonna go 32-0.” (7th grade basketball)
Brady Thompson – “Metamora, they are good at every sport.”
Bella Burnham – “Metamora, um… I don’t know.”
Max Brown – “Metamora, um… they are probably the most difficult to beat.”
Mr. Heider – “Eureka, ’cause we are Eureka.”
Ezra Dohner – “Eureka, because we just are the best at everything.”
Crey Leman – “Metamora, because they are the biggest school in our conference, which means there are more people to pick from.”
Brady Leman – “Metamora, because they have insane athletes.”
Officer Alig – “Metamora. Good bloodline of athletes.”
Clayton McClure – “Yeah, probably Metamora, because they’re a bigger school.”
Mrs. Rocke – “It all depends on the individual and the drive.”
Kal Brown – “Metamora, because it’s our only loss ever.” (For 7th grade basketball)
Abram Funderburk – “Metamora, uhh… because they’re athletic.”
