This week we interviewed Mrs. Burnham, who is a special ed teacher. We asked her a lot of questions about some random things!
What is your favorite thing about teaching?
A. “Getting to spend time with all of my students, getting to know them, and creating fun memories.”
Why did you want to teach?
A. “I can have the same schedule as my kids, have fun, and teach the next generation.”
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
A. “Turtle sundae from Culver’s.”
If you could have three things in the world, what would they be?
A. 1. For it to always be summer.
2. Endless coffee.
3. A better world for my kids.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of school?
A. “Watch my kids play sports.”
What is your favorite season and why?
A. “Summer, because I get to spend it with my family and take vacations.”
What makes a ‘good day’ at school?
A. “When everybody has a good day and we can laugh and joke around.”
What’s the best advice you have ever been given?
A. “Love people like you have never been hurt.”
How do you remember all of your students’ names?
A. “Some of them I just remember more because they’re in trouble more.”
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
A. “Turks and Caicos, because I think it would be an amazing vacation.”
If you could be any animal, what animal would you be and why?
A. “A dolphin, because they are my favorite animal.”
What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?
A. “Invest it all.”
What was your favorite TV show when you were growing up?
A. “Friends, because it was funny and entertaining.”
What is the hardest thing about teaching?
A. “Just being able to make sure each child is doing okay!”
Have you ever broken a bone?
A. “No!”
