In the Marvel universe, one of the most beloved characters created by Stan Lee is Spider-Man. Many people like Spider-Man because he’s just a teenage kid, making him a relatable superhero. Over the years, Marvel has released eight Spider-Man movies. In the first three films, the actor who played Spider-Man was Tobey Maguire, who some say is the best Spider-Man. However, others argue that Andrew Garfield, who played Spider-Man in the next two movies, is the best. The newest Spider-Man, Tom Holland, has made quite a name for himself by appearing in the Avengers movies. A big debate among fans is who played Spider-Man the best. This week, we interviewed students at EMS to see who they thought was the best Spider-Man, and here’s what they said:
- Beni Schrock had to think for a moment but eventually said, “Tom Holland, because he’s British.”
- Parker Bishop didn’t hesitate before saying, “Obviously, Tobey Maguire—he’s the original Spider-Man.”
- Bronwyn Mayo quickly said, “Tom Holland, because he’s better.”
- Bentley Brace wasn’t sure, so she said, “Tom Holland, because Caleb Jones said so.”
- Mrs. Bishop only knew one of the actors, so she said, “Tobey Maguire, because I don’t know the other two, sadly.”
- Molly Arnt was stuck on this one but said, “Andrew Garfield, because he’s funny.”
- Mr. Heider took some time to think, then responded, “Tom Holland, because he’s in the Avengers movie.”
- Colin Risk didn’t know what to say but said, “Tom Holland, because he’s British.”
- Abram Funderburk quickly said, “Andrew Garfield, because he’s awesome.”
- Drew Sauder quickly said, “Tom Holland, because he’s the only one I know.”
