Wrestling season is starting back up, so we decided to ask some of the wrestlers a few questions.
The first question we asked was, “What’s the hardest part of wrestling, and why is it the hardest?”
First, we asked 8th grader Cullan Hoekstra. He quickly responded with, “The conditioning, because sometimes we do laps inside or we do Supermans.”
The next question we asked was, “What are you looking forward to this year, and why?”
Next, we asked 8th grader Jaylen Anderson, who instantly responded with, “Just to wrestle and to just have fun.”
The next question was, “What are you looking forward to this season, and why are you looking forward to that?”
Next, we asked 8th grader Jackson Schneider. His response was, “Being a varsity wrestler, because I get to wrestle more matches than I did in the past years, which means I could get more pins as well.”
The second-to-last question we decided to ask was, “What’s your goal for this season, and why?”
Next, we asked 7th grader Abram Funderburk. After a minute of thinking, he responded with, “Making it to state, because I want to get sent off and do the send-off. I have never done it before, and I really want to.”
For the last question, we asked, “What are you looking forward to this year, and why?”
We decided to ask another 7th grader, Wyatt Hise. He responded with, “Competition with my teammates, to try and get my varsity spot back.”
Good luck, EMS wrestlers! Have a great season!
