We interviewed 10 people from 5th to 8th grade about who the greatest athletes are in the world.
Q: Who is the best athlete in the world? Why?
Nohl Bluiner: Nohl thought for a little bit and came up with, “Usain Bolt, because he can run fast.”
Jarek Klaus: Jarek said, “Michael Jordan, because he’s the most athletic athlete of all time. Also, he’s the best player in basketball.”
Mr. Bayer: “Bo Jackson, because he played two professional sports. Also, he had a TV show called Pro Stars.”
Preston Fuller: Preston was very confident with his answer, and he said, “Michael Jordan, because he’s the best basketball player of all time.”
Declan Fisher: He said, “None of them, because I don’t like athletes.”
Preston Miller: He answered with no hesitation and said, “Mookie Betts, because he led the Dodgers to the World Series.”
Olsen Axelson: Olsen thought it over and said, “Michael Jordan, because he’s the most hardworking player.”
Miss Haggerty: She exclaimed, “Simone Biles, because gymnastics is not only a physical battle but also a mental battle.”
Blake Littlejohn: Blake said, “Alex Lartz, because he’s just the best and my daddy.”
Mr. Heider: This was an obvious answer. He is a basketball player, and he said, “Michael Jordan, because he’s the GOAT and defies gravity.”
