The World Series is here! This year, the teams in the World Series are the New York Yankees versus the Los Angeles Dodgers. The World Series is a globally popular baseball championship event. The first World Series was held in 1903, and there have been 119 World Series since then. It has been an American tradition for that long. To win the series, a team must be the first to win four games. Baseball is an American sport that has played a significant role in sports history, and this is its championship. We asked some students and teachers at EMS who they thought would win the World Series, and here’s what they said:
- Beni Schrock: “Dodgers because they are better.”
- Alex Schrock: “Dodgers because they are goated.”
- Tucker Knecht: “Yankees, but I want the Dodgers.”
- Finn Gerst: “Yankees because they are cracked.”
- Brynna Musslemen: “Yankees because they have the most World Series titles.”
- Mrs. Rocke: “Yankees because they have a ‘Y’ at the beginning of their name, and I like letters at the end of the alphabet.”
- Landon Weigend: “Dodgers because I said so.”
- Mr. Wear: “Anybody but the Dodgers or the Yankees!”
- Mr. Bellini: “Dodgers because they paid lots of money.”
- Malaika Ford: “Yankees because they seem better.”
- Brooklyn Kemp: “Dodgers because Bronwyn said so.”
- Lauren Hambleton: “Yankees because I don’t like the Dodgers.”
- Mr. Heider: “Dodgers because they have the experience from last year.”
