Many articles say gas cars are better, with the pros being that gas-powered cars rely on an internal combustion engine to generate power. Burning gasoline creates energy, which turns the wheels and propels the car forward. Most people feel that gas-powered cars are simple, reliable, and easily understood by many, making them relatively easy to maintain and repair. However, many sites argue that electric cars are better, stating that in full electric mode, an electric car produces zero tailpipe emissions, dramatically lowering smog and greenhouse gas emissions even when considering electricity generation. Cleaner cars mean cleaner air and better health. We asked students and staff if they would rather have a gas car or an electric car, and why.
