The Owala water bottle was created in March 2020 when the company’s CEO, Steve Sorensen, thought that society’s water bottles were oversized and impractical for everyday life. According to the “About Us” page on the Owala website, “We took a long, hard look and found that most water bottles are either overkill or underwhelming.”
The Stanley brand has a rich 100+ year history. It was founded by inventor William Stanley Jr., who forever changed the way hot drinks were consumed. In 1913, he fused vacuum insulation with the strength of steel in one portable bottle, inventing the all-steel vacuum bottle we know and love today.
