For the last article of the quarter, Austin and I are asking people around EMS whether they prefer playing Madden or College Football! First, let’s learn a bit about the two games.
Madden: Made by EA Sports and named after the famous former coach and commentator, Madden is an annual series of American football simulation video games. The games use exclusive NFL licensing, allowing players to control NFL teams, create players, and play various modes like Madden Ultimate Team to experience a realistic NFL simulation on consoles and mobile devices.
College Football: Also made by EA Sports, College Football imitates the traditional sport of American college football, where two teams compete to score the most points within the time limit. Each game consists of four five-minute quarters. Gameplay simulates a standard college football game, with players controlling athletes on their chosen team to call plays and execute actions on the field.
Although the games may sound similar, they have both similarities and differences. The main difference is the players: College Football features college athletes, while Madden features NFL players.
Now, let’s hear from the students of EMS to see which game they prefer:
-
Preston Fuller: “College Football because I think it has way better graphics and a lot of commentary, which is better.”
-
Trevor Schrock: “I like them both, but I would choose College Football because you can play as many more teams.”
-
Bentley Bockover: “College Football because it’s more realistic.”
