8th+and+7th+grade+Basketball

8th grade and 7th grade basketball have had a great season so far. the 8th grade is 6-1 and 7th is also 6-1 (these scores are not accurate anymore). The 8th grade lost to Germantown Hills, while 7th grade lost to Mossville. The 8th grade team consists of Maverick Myers, Liam Brown, Michael Franks, Chris Bunting, Jack Blunier, Teagan McLaughlin, Jacob Schulz, Landon Wurmnest, Grant Roberts, Gavin Dies, Derek Coffman, and Brock Leman. The 7th grade basketball team consists of Cayden Fogo, Noah Purfield, Moses Dohner, Corbin Short, Levi Gerber, Ryan Follmer, Bryce Bailey, Dax Weigand, Zeke Maynerd, Tate Leman, Bryn Mayo, Gabe Heider, Tyler Billings, Brennan McAllister, Brett Zeltwanger and they have an assistant manager who is Evan Shmilder.

Landon Wurmnest had to say this about the 8th grade team, “The season has gone quite well this far and we have progressed a lot since being 7th graders last year. We have played more as a team and trust each other a lot more now. We have played a lot harder and haven’t been slacking off a ton.” Coach Heider who teaches our 7th grade math and Pre-Algebra is the 7th grade coach and Coach Steinback coaches the 8th grade team.

Regionals will start Jan. 21st for 7th grade while for 8th grade it will start Jan. 28th. I interviewed Cayden Fogo and he said, “I love this team and I am proud to be in this Family.” Both 8th and 7th grade teams will be looking forward to their games and hope to see everyone of you on the bleachers screaming your heads off for them and give them your support.
